This page shows how to convert a FIG file named x.fig from XFig, jFig or WinFIG into a standalone *.tex file you can process using pdfLaTeX to create a standalone PDF file.
If you want to convert the FIG file into a *.tex file you can include into a LaTeX document, see the [Fig to LaTeX image] page instead.
gxhconvert -o=tex -d x.fig

--pgf | Use PGF instructions in the *.tex output file instead of creating and including a *-i.pdf file |
fig2lat -ltex.pdf x.fig
